Good spot to go to Zurich, but harder to get past Zurich. I tried for over an hour to get to rest area Würenlos or further, but no luck. I had a sign with "Basel“ and asked drivers. In the end I took a car that drove towards Zurich airport and got out at “Büsisee“ and crossed the highway to the other site there (fence hopping needed). Tuesday morning at 7:30, 1 male. Bad spot.Theoretically I should work because there is a gas station with space to park right next to it.
We asked around when people stopped for a refill and also show our sign.
However, it was hard to find a ride.
We got a ride for about 10 min. up to the highway from where we found another ride after 15 minutes. I recommend going for that if possible.

Right outside the Cop shop! Direction: Luzern. With a sign, this is a great place to stand and has a nice bay for cars to pull into.―Anonymous

Now the E41 is a city bypass so there will be sicnificantly less traffic going south. You might want to advance further (maybe Kilchberg)
