We were there for a long time, we took a break that is not included in 60 minutes. Most people don’t go to Zurich or east at all. Tho a great spot to get to Basel. Good space for cart to stop and see you―Frogpeople

We’re picked up right when we gave up and start walking. A lot of lokals so even tho a traffic is big, take some time to weight―Frogpeople

We literally crossed the border, wrote a sign and started walking to a MacDonalds with the sign attached to a backpack. Before we were even able to cross the road a car stoped next to us and this amazing German tourists pick us up. This is a 10 out of 5. Amazing―Frogpeople

The spot is not really good. There is not much traffic and it’s pretty small. I got offered some rides to the south, but needed to go to the north. If you ask every car that is coming you will probably get a ride. I was lucky and after like 45 minutes a nice woman took me to the next rest area "würenlos“ which is much bigger! Try to go there if you need to go north/towards Basel. You can go from one side of the highway to the other using a pedestrian bridge, but you need to climb two relatively big fences.

Good spot to go to Zurich, but harder to get past Zurich. I tried for over an hour to get to rest area Würenlos or further, but no luck. I had a sign with "Basel“ and asked drivers. In the end I took a car that drove towards Zurich airport and got out at “Büsisee“ and crossed the highway to the other site there (fence hopping needed). Tuesday morning at 7:30, 1 male. Maybe later in the day more luck―jack

we were already giving up, cause this spot is horrible, there is a little curb but no one will stop cause there are signs about people cannot stopping, a man took us out of pity, he blocked the road with the car and took us happily to the gas station―travelwithlaro

Mostly local tradespeople who stop it seems, not many cars, might just have had poor luck―Frederik

VERY few cars stopping, even during rush hour, many local cars not going far, if possible get off at another more busy rest stop―Frederik

A lot of cars but many going towards Lucerne even though it seems as if they are going north. Mostly swiss people who dont care about hitchhikers―Frederik

Police asked us what we were doing, but didn't mind. Were told to do it in the parking lot, not the Zoll.―Anonymous

I feel like since you're very much still in the city people most people don't stop but got a ride after 30min, it's not the ideal place but cars cant still stop if they want to.―felicio

We asked around. At first we got rejected.
Then we met a family who first said bo but after a nice conversation they agreed to bring us to Konstanz.

It worked very well. Some stoped first but went into the wrong direction. After that we got a ride in the right direction. Very nice conversation!

Sunday is slow, during week would be better, multiple directions possible, Zurich, Fribourg, Lausanne, Bienne. Spot is covered from rain and lots of room for stopping.―Anonymous
