Great spot for going towards Chur. Decent traffic and there is space for cars to pull over at the beginning of the ramp to the motorway. I ended up getting a ride to Sargans with an elderly woman going home.―Arcturus

Lots and lots of traffic but not that much space to pull over after the fire station. Probably the best spot to go south from Zürich though. Still got a ride with a local going into the mountains in about 45 mins.―Arcturus

perfect spot for berne/lausanne (and also geneve), got took in lausanne with a direct ride in almost 40-45minfully recommend it : lots of space to stop (bus stop) and lots of traffic that drive slow

Very quick to Zürich with space to pull over at the motorway entrance. Some traffic but most should be going to Zürich or beyond. Ended up getting a ride with a Kosovan Albanian living in Zürich and his father in 5 minutes.―Arcturus

fully recommend it : place yourself at the end of the gas station before the two road (like next to the sign that say bye in german ahaha)

i got lucky here but doesn’t seem like a bad spot at all especially if you wait before the light. i was trying to head west to olten and i had tolls off on maps for routing so it showed me this route, when in fact no one heads west from the airport from here. this kind man pulled over to tell me that but he happened to be going that direction, so he ended up taking me to baden train station and bought me a train ticket and a beer :))―teef

The spot is not really good. There is not much traffic and it’s pretty small. I got offered some rides to the south, but needed to go to the north. If you ask every car that is coming you will probably get a ride. I was lucky and after like 45 minutes a nice woman took me to the next rest area "würenlos“ which is much bigger! Try to go there if you need to go north/towards Basel.You can go from one side of the highway to the other using a pedestrian bridge, but you need to climb two relatively big fences.

Good spot to go to Zurich, but harder to get past Zurich. I tried for over an hour to get to rest area Würenlos or further, but no luck. I had a sign with "Basel“ and asked drivers. In the end I took a car that drove towards Zurich airport and got out at “Büsisee“ and crossed the highway to the other site there (fence hopping needed). Tuesday morning at 7:30, 1 male. Maybe later in the day more luck―jack
