In the center of Rize either you try to get a ride on the local road to get out of the city to the east or, as we did, you can get onto the bridge at the intersection with the ramp and stay inbetween the ramp and the highway to maximize the chances. The drivers have a small place to stop on the side of the highway.―Anonymous

the side road is separated from the highway, we have to walk away from the flyover to the tea factory office, where there is space for car to stop, but a lot of minibus stopping as well. we are lucky to get a lift to Batumi―Anonymous
