Direction: Eskişehir

Cars go a bit fast, but the traffic shouldn't be local anymore.

To get there, take metro to Koru, then one of the buses suggested by Google Maps, they can get you right to the spot. As of 2025 you have to have a special card for Ankara public transportation. The two tickets cost 50TL, the card 100TL, but you can use one for more than one person.

This road is the main direction through Konya and Cappadocia. There are good spots on the road, but i prefer gas station exits.

A good place to go west direction from Ankara. The cities you can find a ride are : Eskişehir, Bursa or İzmir. There are newly built Gas Stations in here, and enough space for cars and trucks to stop.

Excellent place to HH through Yüzyıl, Ayrancı, Çankaya or Dikmen. I've HHed here for 3 years, everyday ...

Best place to go Kızılay, Batıkent, Ümitköy, Keçiören, Kurtuluş or Maltepe. Way to Home :)

this way to go CAPPADOCIA, KONYA, ADANA... you can come here by bus from city center... 20 min. footstand is enough .) maybe just one car can reached to you your destination...

Going to "Gölbaşı" with a dolmuş (the next town) is also a good option.

Don't think this is a good spot for hitching towards Istanbul. You are right on the highway (not straight here either!) and cars go very fast. It seems most cars are just using the ring road, but not leaving town. I had three different lifts just to get towards the toll station. Very tricky. It's probably better starting in Susuz (north of Ankara) - but couldn't find information on how to get there. Btw: the dolmuş to "Yaşamkent" (45 minutes at least) leaves from the west side of Güvenpark, which is close to Kizilay metro station. Couldn't find bus 123, which is mentioned on the Ankara page.

I tried my luck on the fuel station and got a lift to another fuel station in Golbasi after 20 minutes.
