Good spot. Plenty of space to pull into the dead end road behind you. Not much traffic despite it being the main road. Lovely lady named Ann who lives nearby saw us and chatted, then offered us Tea! We kept hitching and a ride all the way to Cardiff and the Tea and biscuits came at the same time!! What luck!! One guy and Femme wheelchair user. Driver's dad hitchikies loads to get back from paraglides, that's why they picked us up!

Was headed west to Pembrokeshire , stood by the entrance to the patrol station and got picked up quickly by someone coming out the petrol station who was going camping in the breacon beacons . A really great spot, thanks hitchmap!

This is the Cardiff West Services. Still under construction in May 2008, so pretty bad spot. Found a lift in about 90minutes

Terrible services to get dropped at... you can't hitch on the roundabout as no hard shoulder to stop and it is too fast.... you have to hitch at the exit to the services, cars going in 3 directions, and there's not enough traffic....

We got dropped here at 7pm and couldn't find another ride going west that evening. If you have a tent, climb over the gate to the field that is north/west of the station, there are good places to sleep there. Took us another 90min to find someone going west the next morning.
