A blind corner as cars are speeding up for the motorway. There is space to stop. Maybe try along London Road but there’s not many good spots to stop around the roundabout

I find lifts in Oxfordshire take a bit longer than average. Good spot for cars to stop in the bus bay. Despite the rain made it halfway to London!!

Good place for hitch-hiking onto M40 - 1.5 miles away from Uxbridge station. Make sure the driver is going straight through on M40, and not on M25

Great spot to get towards Oxford/Birmingham, even though it's quite hard to get there from London

Worked for me aswell. Cars can stop there very easy, as there is some place beside the road.

Lots of rich people coming from london mostly not used to seeing hitchhikers. Although the spot looked great.

I came from Uxbridge and thought this spot must be good but most people didnt bother and never stopped. People are also going local or to heathrow. Ended up asking people at the traffic light.

I agree coming off the M3 towards is a bad idea here, although there is a train station with no barriers and is hardly ever checked. good advice if stuck is heading to sunningdale and hopping the train at a late peak time. if towards reading there are no barriers at Early station, if towards london there are barriers at Clapham junction but at peak times these are almost always open.

From local knowledge I can confirm that this is quite a fast moving roundabout.

All the Slough junctions are bad , tight corners , nowhere to stop . Avoid Slough M4 junctions 5, 6 , 7 and 8

The traffic lights on the roundabout may be the only chance to get a lift on M25 from Staines or around. Cars have no space to pull over so you need to be quick.

Small parking lot with no asphalt is the only chance to stop people going from Slough, you might be lucky to get someone going past London on M25. Cars are generally quite fast here to stop.

On-ramp 6 Slough, M4 towards Bristol.

On-ramp 14 M25 direction north, nice spot with lots of traffic and place for cars to stop. Sign might be good because of the upcoming junction with the M4 and M40.
