Great hitch spot! There is even some shade from the trees. Only tricky thing is that there are two lanes, so it can be hard for someone in the far land to pull over fast enough. Good idea to stand at the beginning of the turnout if possible. My ride, who happened to be in the far lane, was so determined to stop for me that he pulled over AFTER the turnout and walked back to get me! I had a sign for Devon, and ended up with a ride to Glastonbury, where I’d been told I should go if possible. Beauty.―HoopRider

Few cars, nobody wanted to stop. Waited what felt like an hour. Finally after much convincing a Romanian couple took us a few miles down the road.―Anonymous

Not much place for cars to stop, but we got lucky, someone pulled over on roundabout right away and got us out of crosshands where we'd been stuck for 3 hours―Anonymous

Hitched at night. This spot can be pretty good in theory as you have plenty of traffic flow , but at night it can take quite some time―Anonymous

Not a good spot, but didn't feel comfortable going on the roundabout. After some time it started raining and a friendly pedestrian paid me a train ticket
