Don't give up there, it's not a bad place. As 2 guys we spent there no longer that 20min to catch a ride to Bristol (so probably not the easiest one).―Kub

heading east or towards london. tricky spot, fast cars coming off the junction, but there isn't anywhere else for quite a way. (you're better bussing it a way out of portsmouth...)―Anonymous

found a lift in 4 minutes (who was going the wrong way) and then another in 2! Not a perfect place for cars to stop but plenty of visibility. Only great for going west towards M3 or further down the M27.. if you want to go east towards Portsmouth, it will be more tricky, as the cars will be three lanes away―Anonymous
