Me and a friend waited only 15mins at around 7:30am and got a lift going to London. We stood just before the petrol station. It worked well as people are slowing down because of the lights and can pull in to the petrol station easily if they want to pick you up. Staff also let us use the toilet there.

Quite alright for England... if you're, just for example, headed towards Maidstone/Dover/Europe from the USX, this is the place to start from.

This posiion isn't in Lewes but in Falmer which isn't really a town. Its on the outskirts of Brighton and not a good hitching spot.

Okay spot to get to the highway. Better ask people for a lift instead of waiting
