steady flow of traffic while i was there. car pulled over on side of the road, not even in the sideroad where i was expecting. good lift to get to A1.

Not a very easy place to get a lift at all. Two of us waited 2 hours, gave up and tried the side road... eventually opted for a taxi to Wetherby Services, which is the only time i've ever got a taxi while hitching!
