Good spot from Liverpool to Wales. Take a train or bus to Hooton, and walk 15-20 minutes. Do not waste your time at the petrol station or the church - walk PAST those places - this junction is more visible and has more space for drivers to stop. After 5-10 minutes, I got a ride to Anglesey.http://hitchwiki.org/en/Liverpool

I waited at the entrance of the gas station shell and waited less than 3 minutes to get a ride ! There is a lot of traffic, especially to Manchester (whre i was going to) and people go to get some gas before driving. A very good place !―MaëlBZH

I waited somewhere on this road to go South to Bristol and it works well. There is a lot of trafic and it's the best place to go to Manchester or South !―Anonymous

Cars are not going too fast.Good to have a sign with the name of the motorway.
Almost no space to stop but there was not a lot traffic so cars could stop quickly on the road.

August 2025, gave up after an hour and got a train. It's a bus stop and 3 lanes of traffic, a lot of people waving at me but no one stopped. Maybe just got unlucky―Anonymous
