WATCH OUT FOR THE JACKASS COPS IN ASHEVILLE!! ANYWHERE IN ASHEVILLE!! THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER AT ANY OPPORTUNITY! Anyways, we got to this gas station, got some snacks, sat down on the curb, and someone noticed our sign right before we were about to fold it up and beckoned us over to offer us a ride to Huntsville, Alabama. It seems like people passing through Asheville through to Tennessee stop at this gas station! We ended up stopping at Chattanooga TN instead because we figured Chattanooga would have more or as much Nashville traffic as Huntsville.―Anonymous

I've hitched out of here many times going west and its my fav spot for westbound. My wait has been 3 minutes to 1.5 hours. Its high visibility and has a place for folks to pull over. Gas stations and fast food nearby for cardboard and shelter.―Clover
