Trying to get South, the location seemed good with nice traffic and plenty of room to pull over. Cops didn't bother. However, only two cars who stopped by, one offering a ride 2 exits down the road and the other one to check if I need some money.
Got a crappy first WaffleHouse experiecne who didn't help.
Wasn't in the mood of being on the road, I might not have the good aura that day for people to stop by.
I ended giving up and went back to where I stayed and decided to leave the city with a Greyhound the day after.

Recommend on Hitchwiki.Police passed by many times and didn't say anything.
Got a ride from a Mexican worker, very nice. He offered me an extra pair of gloves.

Good visibility, good space for cars to stop. We dropped our sign bc it was unsuccessful and then it worked. Apparently a lot of people going for short rides there.―Blaireau

A lot of traffic, not a lot of people stopping. Good visibility, good space to pull over. But strong traffic, I had a hard time keeping my thumb out, no downtime to rest my arm―Blaireau

Started hitching South around 9am on a Sunday morning, had to take cover a few times due to rain. Got a lift around 10, but probably only spent about 20 minutes legitimately hitchhiking. Held a sign for I-75S, because the road splits. There's no good place to pull off, but there's a stop light, so it works out. Also noteworthy, I was passed by several cops who didn't bother me =)(female, 20s)
