the spot is pretty bad because it's a short ramp with a large turn in it with no where for drivers to pull over. When I put my bag on, I got a ride pretty quickly since someone felt comfortable stopping traffic for a few seconds (vs having to wait for me to get my bag)―JodiMcJodson

I had a tough time hitching in Florida. No shoulders, or not wide enough, and people are too rich and materialistic there, they won't even hardly look at the "bum" on the side of the road. I eventually got a few short rides over to Crestview where I then got a good long ride, but at the very least, the panhandle sucks.―Anonymous
