Forget about it, people. In my opinion, the access roads present a major problem for the viability of hitching. People are already driving too fast, and there are no good shoulders. I had to walk south on I-35 for a good ways, before I was able to hitch a ride out of the city.

Walk here if you're dropped in Big Spring. Locals don't pick up at all but the rest area works well.

Bad spot - Rockwall is the richest county in Texas and it shows. Loads of spotless dodge rams moving too fast to slow down. Traffic is really bad which makes things a bit easier, but better to wait on the interstate than the ramp as the frontage roads very fast and mainly local traffic
