Don't remember exact day but I hitched here for about an hour after walking 30 minutes from Bonnie Brae along University, thumbing the whole way. A dude eventually picked me up and drove me all the way to where I needed to go at the Dallas Museum of Art. Super chill dude with old hitching stories. Told me to see the beauty in the world. When he picked me up he saw me and then went into the QT then came back around and got me, and that was prob a 15 min+ thing //. One story was pretty funny he said he was hitching from like Virginia to Fort Worth in the 70s and he gets picked up by this young couple. Well the mom is breastfeeding her infant, but, her other kid, a toddler, wants in on the action and says "Mommy mommy I'm thirstyy" so she starts double breast feeding, one each. This dude was in the backseat, just in awe for a sec. Then a few min later she asks if he's thirsty and he said his jaw was scraping gravel like it was on the ground. After a second, the husband burst out laughing and the wife / mom realizes then says like Oh No! we have lemonade I meant lemonade... // Had a few other stories too it was a good ride. Thanks ///. So . yeah, unlikely spot but I've always gotten solid or potentially very good rides around DFW here.―braesheightsjd

Guy who picked me up was having vision trouble because he slept with his contacts in, and asked me to drive. He fell asleep as I was driving. His car lost power on the interstate, but thankfully it just took a few restarts to work again.―Eisa

Waited for six hours and not a single person stopped except one guy 5 minutes in who sped off the moment he heard my voice. I guess he wasn’t expecting the long-haired hitchhiker to not be a woman!―Katz
