This is probably the best northbound spot for Ashland. The onramp is steeply sloped and difficult for trucks, but there's plenty of room for cars to pull over and steady traffic of friendly people.

I was hitching Southbound, directly from the highway. There is a huge gravel pad for traffic to pull off. There is a truck stop (Petro) near by.

I got picked up by a big rig and got a ride all the way to Dallas, TX.

This spot isn't bad. All the other north bound ramps in town were closed when I came through so there was plenty of traffic. There is a lot of room for traffic to pull off.

if you stand in the triangle by the northbound on-ramp drivers don't have much room to stop, the overpass shoulder might be a better option. got an early morning ride to eugene after waiting 3 hrs
