wide shoulder, good people watching - a bit sketchy to get to. traffic light a bit north of pin is helpful for slowing down traffic.―4denosin3

~20 minutes to El Granada the spot has enough space for people to turn off, cars are moving fast and many cars but good spot overall―Ytyny

Had a hard time leaving SF going south in the city so I did the exact thing the OP did here. Turned out pretty great, though I didn't get a ride in 10 mins. More like 30. One thing, however, there is a gas station right on Linda Mar Blvd where this spot is posted on the map. The attendants saw my signs and made sure to tell me that "hichhiking is illegal in Pacifica" and I didnt want to deal with them calling the cops, so I walked down a little more where there is this huge dirt turnout and plenty of room for cars to stop. Took a ride to Santa Cruz.―Curbcat

Same. It's a good spot to go south. Right after the light there's a wide space to pull over. 30 minutes wait, ride to Half Moon Bay.―Ars Libera

A lot of friendly people around this area, and free camping at the state beach if you walk in and act like you were already there.―Anonymous

It was easy to get out off San Francisco Southbound hitchhiking on this spot! Downtown to Dali station with BART and from Dali with the bus to Pacifica. See the description on the point just hundred meters North off this one. To not be bothered stand here, there is a lot of space for cars to pull over. Ride to S. Cruz in less than 10 min.―Anonymous
