Spot it self not that bad but that road not great took me 8 hours to complete 80km many ride for small bit at the time real sucky day average waiting time on that road 2-3hours but think mainly because there was a murder connected to a hitchhiker happening like 3 weeks before a got there , so might I've been the reason for being this hard that day.―Cigarettesbum

Good traffic, and place to pull over.Average waiting time, I got a ride from an old woman driving without any specific plans, except checking on the snow at Elwha.
Offered to drop me at Joyce so I could be on 112, a more scenic road than 101 on my way to Neah Bay.

Decent spot to get onto US 101, as there's a largish gravel shoulder before the on-ramp where people can stop. First car which stopped (5 mins waiting) didn't go in my direction, second one (15 mins) took me all the way to the Port Angeles area. If you're not finding a ride, there's a bus station nearby, as well as places to buy drink and food.―Raureif
