This spot is crazy. As soon as I put my thumb out, I heard the tires screeching.

A ride on PCH all the way to SF.
By Angel, a cool guy dealing with his love stories and his job as a scrapper.

As I got on the side of the road, the bus pulled over and let me in for free. I even received a day-pass from the driver.
In the bus, a young dad gave me $5 and chicken wings.
Santa Cruz seems real to its reputation !

Better to wait in Santa Cruz where traffic is traveling slower, may have waited much longer if we did not get lucky

Good spot to go north took ~15 minutes to find someone to take us up the coast

decent spot, lots of room for cars to pull over, took me about 20 minutes to get a ride, and right but an intersection so cars can see you in advance.

Waited 45 min. for a longer ride. (was offered a short ride too). The spot is pretty good. Cars have to read your sign from 20 meters.

Generous shoulder, pull off spots, gas stations, windblown cardboard. Hitchhiking bonanza.

Southbound. There is no place for cars to stop.
