Clear area, can be seen from far away. Plenty of space to stop, but cars were driving fast.

A latino family stopped and drove me to the next town. Offered me coffee and the driver gave me her number in case I needed a place to stay.
Was too early for that tho

Regarding the Hotsprings: The guy at the entrance booth looked at me weirdly when I said I hitchhiked all the way there. Cameras are forbidden, but if you hide it at your arrival, they won't look for it. He also told me the owners won't like me asking around for a ride at the parking lot as it is private property.

Instead, I mentioned in the changing cabin I needed a ride back to town. Two women offered me a fun ride, where we exchanged about our worst&hilarious hitchhiking experience.

Still in pitch dark, trying to reach the Hotsprings.

And Matt stopped !

He passed me going downhill, and came back thinking that he couldn't let me there alone.
Also offered me to host me in case I was in need.

After late lunch, decided spontaneously to hitchhike to reach the Strawberry Hot Springs as they've been highly recommended to me multiple times.

It was already dark and was walking with a sign and my headlamp on.

An old woman saw me from her barn and drove top me, scared I was about to backpack by night in the cold and potentially try to sleep outside. After telling her the situation, she ended giving me a short ride to increase my chances to get a car going all the way to the Hot Springs and offered me to stay at her place for the night.

I ended up doing so and her and her husband took great care of me and she dropped me outside of town the next day to keep going on my trip.

She even drove me to a nice shop to replace my old holey shoes.

Was hitchhiking on the road, as few people seem stopping at the gas station nearby.
Suddenly, a Latino man made me a sign to come over. He offered me to drive me all the way through Kremmling. I accepted, and as I was waiting for him to fill gas and clean his windshield, I started discussing with the next-car man, Peter, who appeared to go to Steamboat Springs, my aim for the day. My original driver, hearing this, asked him if he could give me a ride. The new guy accepted.

Peter gave me an amazing ride, telling me along the way about the story of the valley, sharing his knowledge of the nature surrounding us, the name of the mountains, the ski culture, etc.

When dropping me, he even took my number, saying he would ask around if someone could host me for the night. Very friendly
