This is a pretty good spot to get as far as Ventura, plus the 1 along the coast has pretty wide shoulders all the way up to Oxnard.―Anonymous

Wide highway shoulder with good sightlines. Between Oxnard and San Luis Obispo it is suburbia so rides are spare. If you are financially able, take the Amtrak toSLO. You will save food money and time by doing so.
