Lots of cars are particular times of the day .... most seems like local traffic. Not much space to stop, but there is a stoplight that might be able to help if you wanted to ask the drivers directly. I wouldn't recommend this spot, but I wouldn't say it's senseless.―Anonymous

05/23/2013Had a hell of a time getting a lift -- 6 hours to go just a few miles south. Seems that people aren't very receptive to hitchhikers here. Lately there have been an outpouring of highway patrol (probably because of Memorial Day). I'd just avoid the Vegas area at all costs; it really sucks!

Decent spot for hitchhiking south on interestate - 15. I didn't use a sign because it's fairly obvious I'd like to go somewhere south, and it seems that most people are either going to Stateline or California. I did wait about an hour or two because there was heavy traffic which makes for grumpy drivers.―Anonymous

Going to Vegas.Spot is honestly pretty bad.
People go fast, it's hard to stop anywhere and there's too much distraction for people to really pay attention.
I got extremely very lucky.
Best strategy is I think to got talk to truckers at the stations

I've hitchhiked here many times over the years heading towards Laughlin or Las Vegas. Usually pretty quick, once got a ride from a guy going to Tahoe and just rolled with it. Great spot if you can get here.―Kenny
