We had our difficulties, but it was probably a really bad time (a tuesday around 14 o'clock..) because all way before before worked out perfectly. We finally took a bus after one hour as we had to catch the ferry in Montevideo. But if you are not in a hurry I am quite your you will find somebody in the end...―Anonymous

Bus stop along Ruta 39. Good for hitchhiking to San Carlos, space for cars to stop, though traffic is going uphill and already speeds up. Some slow traffic coming from the road on opposite side too.―Anonymous

Beginning of two-lane road, perfect to hitch out of La Barra further east along the Ruta 10 towards Manantiales / Jose Ignacio. After Manantiales, the road is easy hitchable along itself.―Anonymous
