Looooove nice one. Walked here from central Wien near hbf, would be a bit rough in the dark but super fine in daytime. Tuesday evening, it was dark when I was finally there because it's winter brrrrr. Cold but obvs service station if here for hours. Found a lift to BTS in ten mins with a medium cardboard sign. Heavy constant traffic leaving the station. I like it , minus a star because there aren't any good places to stand where people can see u, think, stop. Awkward to catch people before they are in highway mode.―Anonymous

Bad very bad this is a black hole from hell I would not touch this platz again. Seriously avoid. Go to the smaller platz a few mins away in leobsanwald (??name??). If you're here get out accept any lift and go to the next platz oh my days what a nightmare. Lots of truckies lots and lots but no one will take you because they're doing their job. Then lots of people weirdly business men who've better things to do. Generally people are not interested. This place has withering soul energy. Super bad for real. I was alone, young/white/feminine-presenting woman with smallish medium handbag and clear cardboard sign , I'd just had a shower and washed all my clothes I was prime game for a lift and did I get one NO only after HOURS oh my days and not even where I wanted to go toooooo.―Anonymous

Got direct ride to Vienna, city center. Guy returning from trip in Croatia.With my stay, not much traffic, but I got there quite late, and it was end of the season.
Walked there from Kupljanovo train station.
From Zagreb to thumbing here it took me 1,30 min. (with really big backpack), ticket cost is 2€.
The gate through the highway fence was opened.
No visible lock (employees parking there, pathway is used daily).

We got a ride with a group of 4 people to leoben (we are on out way to grass) the driver is going to liezen. There was another car that stopped to take our friend to another graz station to leave the city. Very recommended for going south.―Anonymous

In theory nice place to get outside off the city. It can be a little bit akward waiting there because some illegal workers are waiting close to the spot. But still we managed to get a ride outside of the city and from there we found easy a ride to graz. I recommend to plan some waiting time and to have the courage to ask people to give you a ride.―Lele

WHAT A LUCK! We got to the parking spot through a hole in a fence (no other way around), got hastled by police and then got a sandwich at the Viva. Its open till midnight and we headed out of there at 11 pm. Thought we were going to sleep somewhere around till morning, fortunately, my friend thumbed a car for fun right when we got out of the gas station and they took us right to our city! Great spot for the ride out of Vienna, its walkable distance to get there, if youre adventurous :)―Torysek

Had a sign saying Bratislava and stood next to the motorway entrance. Most cars were leaving the motorway to go to the industrial district, but after 25 minutes I got picked up by two Serbian guys around 30 driving directly to Bratislava. The gas station isn't frequented much, I think a sign works better here than asking people filling up their tanks. Good spot to go East―Mangoontheroad

Amazing spot direction Czechia. Got a ride in less than 5 minutes half way to Znojmo. Probably the best spot for this direction, cars dont go too fast, u can get there by taking the U6 and then by a bus or walk few minutes. the place to stop is big enough and it is blocked of so there are no cars driving through there. U can stand in front of the spot behind the barriers so that the cars see u early enough.―Filipnatripu
