Despite the time and the stars, i think this a solid spot to get moving however best moving to the next station service or another one further away, maybe without signWe began with a sign however was having no luck after an hour : (2 white males)
So we switched to thumbs just had two cars pull over in 15 minutes, one taking us to the next station service

I really love this spot, hitchhiked here several times already and it never disappointed me. I wish we had the same kind of spots on the West side of Lyon to go far West ! Well, this time I had a big sign "Grenoble" and it worked well. I advise you to write as big as you can (big cardboards are your friends) so that the cars can read it from far away. I also managed to go to the Maurienne Valley from this place, or to a petrol station on the way to Grenoble, this is great too.―particulefine

Perfect spot going out from Lyon to the South. I have the chance to go to the toilet take a coffee and I stay just in the gasoline area in the entrance to the parking area with my sign going to Marseille. There a Big car pick me up. the gay was super nice, was a slow ride but I could arrive to my next spot just 30 minutes from Marseille in the highway. I think was the perfect spot to find people going to the south.―Caminante

Good spot but the amount of space to stop depends on how many cars are parked. There were multiple free spots when I arrived. Also, there is an organic supermarket nearby that I went to to get a sign and they were super kind to offer a really good one, a pen and a water refill.After 3min I was taken to a good service station before Valence

En passant par la zone industrielle, il y a un petit passage au nord de la station à travers un grillage pour accéder à l'aire d autoroute. C'est le trajet le plus pratique mais un peu plus long. On a bien galerer malgré un grand nombre de voitures, on était 2 et c'était un week-end de vacances. Beaucoup de voitures étaient pleines d'affaires. Le spot est cool pour sortir de Lyon, on a pris le train puis on a marché pour y accéder―Emilien

Awful spot in the evening. Litteraly no one stopping except for weird unmarked taxis that have parking here. I was very lucky that last car I planed to stop before I wanted to start looking for some place to sleep a guy in a driving shool vehicle stopped and took me to first service station on route to Geneve―Autostopeks

Single male, no French. It was alittle frustrating. Waited around 5 hours with a sign "Lyon" and "Sud A7" at the very end of the station. Good amount of traffic but nobody stopping. A Turkish French guy took me to north of Avignon. And also gave me 50 Euros, god be with the you, much respect Mutalip Abi!―whiterabbit

Single male, no French. Good spot, has shade if the trees are alive, slow and nice amount of traffic early in the day. Plenty of space cars to pull over. Hold a sign (Aire de Solaize) and did a thumb same time :D Got a ride from a teacher named Ali (much love) and got dropped in the next gas station on the highway ( Aire de Solaize). The spot seems generally good, we waited first at the exit and then moved to the gas station and waited with a sign and our thumbs out. After one hour a man stopped and offered to take us to Avignon. We had to wait for him to charge his car for a bit and then went with him.1 female & 1 male.

J'ai demandé à un mec qui faisait de l'essence et il m'a pris direct direction Valence.L'aire n'a pas l'air très fréquentée mais il était 17h30 un lundi. Y a moyen de marcher en 15mn de l'aire Sud à Nord, mais y a une petite zone interdite à passer au Nord de l'autoroute. Il suffit de contourner les barrières. On m'a pas embêté mais voilà.
