We waited at the other spot 100 meters down for about 2 hours on a Monday morning and when some Russian guy got picked up at this spot after waiting for about 45 min. We went here and one had a sign while the other one asked and both got a ride at the same time after abt 30 min.―Test12345

Not too much traffic and lots of full cars. Got lucky in the end with a ride that almost couldn't fit us. With patience you can get a ride all the way to Budapest or beyond even.―Kelob

It's a good place to stop at the bus stop. A lot of cars with Austrian license plates drive by, but they're going pretty fast. I also tried waiting at the gas station for half an hour, but relatively few Austrians stop there.―Anonymous

Tried standing with a sign, but there’s not much place to stop safely, so I gave up. After I tried asking around, but be careful, on Fridays and Saturdays people are not keen to go West to Balaton - the traffic is apparently very bad.
