What hitchhikers said along this route
“Direction: Vienna Cars can easily pull over on the bus-lane and see you from very far, but traffic is maybe a little too fast.”

“This spot was not very good. I hitchhiked from here to Budapest and waited for 1 hour 30 minutes. When the bus comes, you have to run ;) Very difficult to hitchhike with a sign, because the cars go quite fast. Probably you need a huge one... But it's at least easy to get there by bus =)”

“This one is a good spot - not far from city centre. Do not use signs, because cars are going fast. I got a ride to petrol station on A2 in 30 minutes (on Sunday 8 am).”

“Cars go fast and you don't have much time for their atention! I had sign ''WIEN'' but i think it was not big enogh. I had to shake sign and to put it up and to wave. Be aggressive. Got lift to Vienna in 2 hours.”

“I hitchhiked there two times, first time nobody stopped for maybe 40 minutes, then I wrote "Rakusko" sign, which means "Austria" and I got ride in 10 minutes. Second time it was fast too with the same sign”
