What hitchhikers said along this route

“I had a sign saying "Suisse" but no one stopped for me first. I really would recommend you to ask for a ride to the next gasstation (and god damn, never go to the next duty station!!) or to not use a sign. That worked better.”
― Mochilero, Mon 2013-09-09 · Vaulx-en-Velin
“Good spot, waited 10min and a car took me until the peage of Beynost”

“A lot of space for cars to stop, mostly going in a direction of Geneva. I would recommend sign with number of highway you want to go (A42 or A46) and image of gas station just to get you out of the city...”

“good spot to go to geneva/ Jura. If your ride stops before your destination, go for either the first gas station (aire de Lyon Dagneux) but try not to stop at an 'Aire de repos' since less people tend to stop threre..”

“Car stoppped as soon as I put up a sign saying Pont-d'Ain. My final destination was Geneva.”
― Mr. Zill, Fri 2013-03-15 · Vaulx-en-Velin
“Not ideal because no place for car to park but I managed to get a ride at 23:00 so i'd say it's possible”
― Minaus, Mon 2024-09-02 · Vaulx-en-Velin
“15 min wait to Geneva. Not the best place for cars to stop but there is not so much trafic so people can stop in the roundabout.”
― titouanlh, Thu 2023-08-31 · Vaulx-en-Velin
“Traveling alone. Tried both sign and thumb+sign. Came all the way here from Lyon center. It was NOT worth it. Tons of traffic, but very few cars going towards Geneva (or they simply did not want to take me) Early in the morning it probably works better because many people work near Geneva and live in Lyon”

“Took me 45 mins just to get a ride to the peage down the road. Comfortable spot though and shady”
