What hitchhikers said along this route
“Waited over 30 minutes, but got a ride as a group of 4! This place seems good for any direction east - you can even camp next door (campsite on the other side of the road) and start here in the early morning. http://hitchwiki.org/en/Salzburg”

“This spot has everything to be a good spot, street lights, cars not going to fast, bus stop... BUT people simple don't stop, finally, after wait for almost 2 hours a guy stop and took me to the first gas station in the A1, direction: Linz.”

“Pretty good spot. Mc Donald's just behind (toilet and coffee in freezing winter is extremely enjoyable). I got a ride to Linz after 30 minutes, even though a big proportion of the cars are going direction Munich rather than Vienna, you will definitely get a ride. I had a Sign Linz. 9AM. 22 December 2018.”

“We have waited for 2 hours at least. People just wont stop. Then catch a car going to Linz...Same experience as Yooks.”

“The first day I've tried this spot I was waiting for 3 hours in the rain until night came and I had to abandon my wish to go to Vienna that day. I was almost sure the next day will be even worse, but I was wrong. Got picked up after 10 minutes of waiting. Like all the comments mentioned, this spot is a very good spot from a technical perspective. People just don't want to stop, and this could be”

“The spot is great, I agreed, but it took me more 1 hour someone give me lift direction vienna... it was a long trip because they drop me off in a petrol station where I stuck 3 h. :-(”

“Others comment said it's the perfect spot but in reality cars dont have that much place stop and it's juste before the turn. It' easier if you go to the previous bus stop (Landstrasse)”

“Works quite well, however in the morning the majority of the car dont drive towards east on A1. We got a tide to Linz with a sign in our hands.”
