Stand in the middle, from there people coming from both directions can see you, best to write A61 on your sign or not use any sign, as it seemes people passing there don't go very far, but they can still bring you to the peage south of Toulouse”

“C'est un excellent spot. Malheureusement nous visions Avignon (direction de Carcassonne) et il était 19h. Donc beaucoup trop tard ! “i got a ride in 5 minutes, but the transport until there was very long, the gate was closed, i just had luck someone got out with his car at this moment... anyway, i really don't like to stand at péages, they are way too dangerous. i didn't feel safe having to cross the whole thing. But maybe it's the best way to hitch out of toulouse in this direction. It's the first time i try...”
