What hitchhikers said along this route

“From our point of view this is a good spot not to hitchhike but to ask someone to get you to the better hitchhiking spot approximately 5 kilometers further (marked also on this map, OMV gas station). From there we found a car in 10 minutes just by asking people.”

“If you come out at the Metro stop "Ober St.Veit" go in metrodriving direction for 200 meters over the bridge. You'll see a McDonalds and a gas station. Ask there... I've hitchhiked from there a couple of times. Just perfect.”

“I think you still need to get further away from the city. I was solo, with sign. My first hitch-hike ever, so maybe I was not very confident while asking for a ride, idk :)”

“Probably a good spot to get a ride to the OMW station, but the part of the highway towards the OMW was temporarily closed, so no lifts there. We opted to walk 10 mins further and stand with a sign. Worked well.”

“Just went to the gas station. We (2 guys) didn’t even have to take our sign out, we got a ride to Munich with the 3rd car we asked. I guess quite lucky, but the spot looks really good anyways.”

“In the evening petrol station was empty, only local cars there. It looks like a good spot, but somehow I decided to go to the next spot and there I got a ride in 20 minutes”
