What hitchhikers said along this route

“Got dropped off here from Zagreb on our way to Budapest. In case you are hitchhiking from Sesvete in the direction north, this is probably the only viable spot. There's not a lot of traffic passing, but drivers have space to pull over. Note: On the back of the traffic sign you can see notes and signatures left by hitchhikers. 17.04.2015 - Matt & Ada”

“Not really a good spot, but this is probably the only place which works if you want to go to north and you were in the city before. We waited 3 hours, only 3 car stopped, but the first two went to wrong direction”

“This place is probably your best chance to leave Zagreb in direction of Hungary. We waited for 1 hour, but eventually one guy stopped and took us to Varaždin. That's where you should aim with your sign - there is a gas station there to try from. The stickers from hitchhikers are not there anymore. But it's funny because you're hitchiking directly from under the no autostop sign. Croatians are mo”

“Good spot. Enough place for the cars to stop, enough traffic and the cars are not fast.”

“very bad place, not much traffick, we waited more than 2 hours and some guy took us to a gas station on the highway, you should head there because it is the only way to get to north (we were heading to Budapest) (group of 6 girls)”

“There's enough traffic to be comfortable that you'll be picked up. We waited only a few minutes before we got a ride all the way to Budapest.”
― Yooks, 2015-04-19 · Odmorište Sesvete - istok
“free restrooms, café, gas station, rest area, trucks, exchange money to Kuna but not from Kuna”
― Marcus De, 2015-04-10 · Odmorište Sesvete - istok
“one of the 2 gas stations on the highway between zagreb and the hungarian border, traffic isn't very high but enough to catch a ride after a while”

“quite good spot to catch a hitchhike to Hungary/Budapest, we were very lucky and some polish people gave us a ride straight to Budapest (we are also polish), but our friends that we left there hadn't so much luck and they were waiting there for someone to take them for 2hrs and they didnt even cross the border with that hitchhike so it depends”
