Got a ride with an Albanian elderly man. He couldn't speak english, but we managed with google translate and hand signs. He dropped us near the old town of Prizren. Friendly person.―NavandShish

I was walking down the street, and thumbing at the same time. A sketchy Albanian picked me up, so I asked to be dropped off at the toll station.―Anonymous

After the border control there’s lots of space to stop. I was picked up by a shared taxi, but was lucky enough to not have to pay for the ride.―Anonymous

Busy street, but not so busy at the gas station itself.―Anonymous

If you want to go schkoder/montenegro, DO NOT USE THIS ROAD!!!although it looks more direct, it is a tinyass single track mountain route with basically zero cars, all going super slow. itll take a whole day to get there. stick to the main road (e.g. a car to tirana). get out at the main road junction near lac (there is a good spot) and hitch north from there.
I got out here, hitched part way along, and then realised my mistake and hitched back, losing 5 hours. the first cars here did stop so it is friendly hitching, but its super slow, nobody will go direct to schkoder here.

Gasstation before Kukes; no good. Local traffic and lots of traffic on the highway turning into KukesFind a ride into Kukes and walk towards the road leaving town. There I had a ride to Tirana in 15 min (and lots of offers for (shared) taxis.

Not so many cars in the evening. I'd question this route to go to Valbona, oh well... Eventually caught a ride to Krumë at around sunset time.―Vagabond

There is no space for a car to stop but it's Albania so who cares. The car was going to Kosovo. I was heading to Valbona via Bairam Curri. The driver said that the majority of cars go there via Kosovo nowadays. I couldn't go there so had to stick to the old road.―Vagabond
