Headed to Podgorica, signed and thumbed. No shade here but very good for being seen by drivers out of Koplik and those going straight after the roundabout. Waited for 20min. Saw many Montenegrin-plated cars. Apparently they are not as open to hitchhiking as the Albanians. But got picked up by a Montenegrin guy going home to Podgorica―GloriaF

Good for catching drivers going straight and those out of Theth. Around 11am there seemed to be many passenger vans and private cars leaving Theth.I thumbed for 5 seconds and an Albanian family picked me up (they even woke up their boy sleeping on the back seat to make room for me!!). We stopped for coffee and strawberry-picking on the way.
They were driving to Shkodër and dropped me off at the SH1/SH21 intersection outside of Koplik for me to continue on to Podgorica

Super easy to hitch a ride in Albania. This spot doesn't look promising at first (it's next to an abandoned lot) but I stood just before the petrol station and was quickly picked up by a family going to Koplik for lunch. Then at Koplik I was dropped off at a roundabout leading onto the road to the Hani i Hotit border crossing. There was picked up within 1 minute and brought all the way to Podgorica.―Anonymous
