a bus from Marneuli to Sadakhlo picks up people along the road and it can even take us to the border post. It costs 1 GEL a person. Hop on when you see that bus.―Adleymaria

When going to Armenia, it might be a good idea to find a ride before Sadakhlo, as most people will feel uneasy if a foreign-looking, strange person with a backpack wants to cross a border with them. Still, with some patience, you will always find a ride :)―Anonymous

It took me 5 cars to get to Alaverdi and only a bit of extra waiting here so i could proof again how this country is hitchhikers-friendly. On the other side, arriving here as a guy alone from Marneuli was time-consuming so i suggest to find a direct ride from Tbilisi.―GiovanniTonucci

A touristic church for busking is here uphill in Haghpat, while a covered camping spot can be provided on the left of the shop on the main road.―GiovanniTonucci

They made me sleep on a couch at the park café next to the railway pedestrian bridge and then i continued hitchhiking to Gyumri. I also met 2 chinese bikepackers camping at the shop after the intersection to Haghpat in the east of Alaverdi. These 2 gas stations have public wifi. Super kind russian guy took me to Vanadzor and had me refusing his money offer :)
