Got dropped off here unfortunately but had my Yerevan sign. Would have probably worked without. Walk a bit till you find a good spot for yourself, there is a lot of space for cars to stop anywhere. Took me 5 minutes―FlexiG

Place is near a small gas station, right after an intersection, and before a left turn on the main road to Ashtarak, Talin and Gyumri. Great place to hitchhike! Waiting time < 10 min.―Anonymous

Very good spot for hitchhiking. Just walk out of Ashtarak and start hitching. I had a ride after 2 minutes from some guys that were going in the opposite direction and brought me a long way!―Anonymous

Dont take this road around Yerevan. Almost everyone will stop, but there are almost no cars and the lifts are short.―Anonymous

Direction: south. This is the place where a real highway out of the city finally starts. In October 2014 construction of the road was still happening and it made hitchhiking a bit harder. When the road is finished it should be easy to hitchhike here.―Anonymous

Good spot for hitching South. A sign for Iran had me picked up in 20 mins, but there's a lot of local traffic. I always just try to hitch with higher end vehicles. Lada's and such cars are almost always local, and will almost always ask you for money.―Anonymous

Very good spot if you are arriving from south (Ararat province) and you wanna skip the traffic of Yerevan on your way west - Echmiadzin, Armavir, Gyumri. You'll also skip the airport area and the need of taking buses to reach western suburbs. Mind that these western cities are industrialized, so people drive for money more than elsewhere.I got offers to Masis until a guy took me to Hayanist.

Got an unexpected ride to Yerevan after 5 minutes so I didn't go explore the south of Sevan lake by Vardenis and Martuni―GiovanniTonucci

Come here by metro to Shengavit or Garegin and jump on the bus 6, 51, 55 or 55w - check more direct options from the city center to Karach market on app A2B Yerevan transport. 100amd each ride.I accepted the second offer to Artashat as it was getting dark and the guy dropped me at his market on the main road. Another guy took me to one more market+ cheap bbq restaurant (they call them bistro) where the owner spared a grilled potato lavaş with me. Stand at the crossroad where the cars accelerate into the M2 to Meghri.
