Decent spot, dirt for cars to pull onto - no shade―Kjmurray1230

Didn’t mean to be picked up - had committed to walking to Woolies but got scooped up by a pilot and given a bed to sleep in that night :) decent spot if you were going to hitch but no way to know where the cars were heading―Kjmurray1230

Lots of traffic in front of the service station (hope I got the spot right on the map). But it is mixed traffic. There should be bus stop where cars can stop. Yep, it is hard to get out of Darwin.―Anonymous

This is a good spot for going south if you are not shy to ask drivers for a lift. Many long distance travellers stop here before leaving Darwin and a lot of them are easily dinstinguishable from local traffic. Also check the service station nearby. Try to go for a long ride (Katherine or further) if you want to cover some distance. Try to not get stuck in Katherine though - it is hard to get out. Noonamah service station is 20 km down the road but a lot worse then this spot so refuse lifts to there and try to find someone going further south. There is bus service from Palmerston to Coololinga but check the timetable well in advance.―Anonymous
