This is a service station just past Glenrowan and before Wangaratta. I was dropped here on my way to Sydney.It was really wet, so it was difficult to get around to people and ask for a lift, so I waited for people to walk through and pay for their fuel. The third person I asked gave me a lift to Albury. In hindsight I would wait for a lift to a farther destination, as I had trouble finding a lift from Albury. All in all, a good spot when you're already on the road.

Hitch spot 100m before the onramp to the Hume Fwy heading south towards Melbourne. There is plenty of room for cars to stop, but traffic can move fast here so there is less time for people to stop. A lot of traffic continues towards Wangaratta, but it is possible to get a lift from here direct to Melbourne.―Anonymous
