2 guys, in the evening, in the end with sign "WN" (Wiener Neustadt) I recommend trying to reach the McDonald's in Bad Fischau (beautiful building) because many people go just locally, but from the Rest station it's just easier to go further.―Anonymous

It's a perfect spot to hitchhike, cars are going slowly. The part of the highway was under construction, so it was low traffic there. Maybe without the construction, there is better traffic and then higher chance to catch a ride. We ended up moving to the another gas station without construction place.―jchymski

We didn't even started trying to stop cars and a guy asked if we wanna go further on the highway, we ended up on OMW near Wiener Neustadt. So it was a pretty nice experience, but other reviews are not that good. We was just lucky.―jchymski

Nice place! Not much of the traffic, but 90 percent goes to Graz or further.You can get there by train from Vienna + a little bit of walking
Asked few people before met a couple going all way to Croatia.

Good enough spot to get south, many locals drive not that far but it's worth getting for example to a rest station near Wiener Neustadt where you'll meet more long-distance drivers―Anonymous

It's not the best spot to pull over, but the best nearby, got a ride very quickly though. Hitchhiking as a couple with a "Schneeberg" sign... There's also a possibility to stand at the traffic lights or at the exit from the highway. Though I wouldn't probably stand at the exit myself since there are many locals heading to the mountains who don't come from the highway.―Anonymous

We were waiting here with sign "Graz" but nobody stopped. Later we noticed Czech couple and we asked them. They took us to Ljubljana.―Ada.pernik
