Tried taking the bus up to a restaurant with the intention of eating and then catching the next bus an hour later, but when the restaurant turned out to be closed I decided to hitchhike the rest of the way up rather than wait an hour for the bus. Really cold and completely dark outside, took longer than I would have liked to get a ride. No cell service either. Fair number of cars going past so maybe I just got unlucky (and it was night), but still not a lot of fun.―Anonymous

If you stand on the roundabout with a sign to Innsbruck, the cars can take the exit onto the parking lot.―Proxi

around 6/7pm in july there was too much traffic going too fast to stop here, especially since the road is lined by concrete barriers so aside from a few meters after the rpundabout theres no place to pull in, same at the roundabout after this one. might be possible to get lifts later in the day or early in the morning, people generally seemed really happy to see us so could see someone getting picked up.―BI

good amount of cars going over the pass west, not that much space to pull over but cars going slow through roundabout, good visibility, maybe commuter traffic if you time it right? very touristy town in the winter so can see it being a very busy place then―BI

After a long try to go to Innsbruck, I made a sign saying 'irgendwo' (anywhere) and then the cars stoped one after another to ask where we want to go.―Lukasijus

A good place to go direction Innsbruck. At least half of the traffic goes another direction so there are more possibilities I think. Just across the bridge there is Mc'Donalds and cheap supermarket (Hofer)―Anonymous

Decent spot for going towards Feldkirch, next to the roundabout is a McDonald's where you can get free newspaper for sign making, I probably wouldnt hitch here without it, little space for cars to stop, but they are very slow, got a ride within 2 or 3 minutes, good traffic―Anonymous

The best spot in my opinion to HH in Innsbruck... I hitchhiked with a sign with swiss flag, during the whole time only one or two cars with swiss licence plate passed me. But one got me to the swiss border, just where I needed... 👍🏼 (Used this spot after unsuccessfuly trying on the ramp/roundabout west of the Innsbruck airport, I don't recommend that one)―jkczech

Not many cars go direction Innsbruck where I wanted to go. Other directions there is a lot of traffic. Would not recommend for innsbruck. It’s a nice place for drivers to stop.―Anonymous
