great spot for visibility, many truckers pass but no success with salzburg sign. after waiting 3 hours decided to just go to munich with 3 young guys who stopped.

first waited by eni but no one stopped as cars coming from left were concerned with merging and cars already on were going quite fast. this spot proved better for slow cars (and shade!) and kind person refuelling went into eni and made me a sign for salzburg!

Not very busy and no one particularly willing to take people. Got a lift from a truck driver but wasn't particularly useful:\

This is a large Parking lot (German: Parkplatz) and Circle trafficn (German: Kreisverkehr). You can hitch to Innsbruck in the west or to Kufstein in the east direction. Good luck!

Not a good place for trying to follow the Inn without taking the Motorway...

Populated with both trucks and city cars this is the best spot to change drivers if You are heading to Italy.
Tankstelle owned by British Petrolium, it offers complete free Wi-Fi internet access as well.
It took me sometime to get out of here during nighttime but I found a direct ride close to Venice, exactly where I wanted to go :)
If You have questions please use the "Contact Me" section on my website www.claudioadrianodobre.com to get in touch with me.
Hit the road hard ;)

Lots and lots of cars, all of them going to Italy. Bad for me, who wanted to Switzerland.
Völlig überfüllt, aber alles fuhr nach Südtirol/Italien. Ich wollte aber in die Schweiz…
Got a ride after 2h to the border (there the police wouldn't let me in)
Nach 2h ein Auto bis zu Grenze gefunden (dort wurde mir die Einreise verweigert)

Alternativ for going west from Innsbruck: Take ÖBB train in direction Kufstein / Wörgl, get off at Schwaz Bahnhof, get past the rails to the village Vomp, head down the road west passing some bigger shops and take the second possibility right, up the hill to a12 until you reach "Raststation Vomp".

A good alternative to DEZ / Innsbruck Ost, because there I experienced waiting times up to 2 hours just to get off at exactly this service station.

Very nice to go direction Munich/Salzburg.
You can reach the place via bus: Bus stop Volders Volderer Brücke.

Good spot to stop cars on the road and also at the gas station in the same time

I was there between 17h30 and 18h30 with a Pannel for Worgl/ Kufstein, but despite the fact that everybody go back in their house after work and hundred of cars cause its the entry for all the highways in all direction, I only managed to get a 30km ride after 1h of waiting. The spot is just after a turn so be careful of the cars that can arrive fast in the corner. Maybe not the best hitchpoint on that road that offers plenty of other spots not far (gas sation and other bus stop) but for sure you will have cars that stop.

Many people stop here, most of them go to Munich or closeby, or don't want to take hitchhikers... After almost 3 hours a truckdriver I had met when I arrived had finished his break and took me to Salzburg.
