Excellent spot! Plenty of traffic going in multiple directions. I succeeded in getting an Austrian who was going to Bregenz to take me across the Swiss border. I even turned down three other offers within the 17 minutes to closer destinations. Good luck:)

Decent amount of drivers, but none that would take me outside of Innsbruck. Ended up taking a ride to the city.

Very low traffic, but I got super lucky by asking a guy. I’d guess you’d have to talk to people.

There were lots of cars with many locals coming from Innsbruck because of the shopping center, but almost nobody was driving towards Salzburg, so I had to wait a long time.

Going East/Milano->then further to Austria, You have to put some effort into reaching this spot but for me it was absolutely worth it. I decided to start it chill here before trying to catch every car going out, so I just sat down had some breakfast and watched out for a non italian car. Goal was getting a ride to Austria, so when the first german car came I asked them and got a ride right to my home city.
for the approach see the pictures. there are several bus lines going to different stations nearby, then you have to walk for around 30 minutes, but it is definitly worth trying it. Probably the best spot around.

Most people went back up to Germany but I got lucky and found a truck driver who went to Milano

Pretty nice spot to stand in the shade, just before the pull in for the parking area before the toll booth. Took quite a long time for us but maybe it was bad luck, eventually we changed our sign from Innsbruck to Brenner, and got picked up a while after by a lovely Austrian who took us to Innsbruck anyways.

Police and toll booth people dont seem to mind if you hitchhike onto the toll road from here.

Got a lift to the border. Guy and girl with sign, heading for Slovenia. Bus stop with space to stop, but quite a lot of local traffic.

I asked the first person if he could take me to Germany. He was super kind (a croatian man) and he gave me a great ride to Rosenheim

If you stand on the roundabout with a sign to Innsbruck, the cars can take the exit onto the parking lot.
