I was heading west towards Switzerland with a sign CH. Lots and lots of traffic and some space on the roundabout but many people are going different directions or not willing to take you. Eventually I made a sign for Feldkirch and was switching between the 2 when I got a ride (with the Feldkirch sign) with a lovely Austrian couple going to Germany!―Arcturus

Lots of space to pull over but decent traffic. People in Austria usually aren't too willing to pick up hitchhikers but I waited 20 minutes the night before and 55 minutes in the morning and got a ride a few 10s of km further west with a sign CH. This was a mistake and try to deny all rides going to smaller towns west of you are going near Switzerland or Germany because nobody picks you up.―Arcturus

Not the best gas station, not many cars going to Munchen/Salzburg - probably would be better to catch someone to get you after Innsbruck (there is a junction with another bigger highway from Italy). Also, it’s better to ask than to stand at the exit.―jachymak

There is a little slip road just before the corner and had a sign saying Kempten & took me 20 minutes to get picked up. Not many cars but good odds of getting picked up.―Anonymous
