The road to enter is strange, a lot of cars exiting the E40, not using the station then re-entering the E40. It’s not worth trying to stop them, they’re going too fast. We waited at the entrance to the service station, the exit is better as you can catch the cars as they’re leaving―Anonymous

Highly recommend. A decent sized land for cars to pull into. Plenty of curious looks at our sign. Seems good for north and east. One offer to Antwerp, we took the next car who got us to Lueven―Anonymous

Walked here from Leuven, asked around, two of them were going to Brussels and the third one happened to be a couple living near London, so I got a ride from here through Eurotunnel all the way to north of London. And they ended up being worried that I will get stuck hitchhiking out of the London bubble, so they bought be a crazy expensive train ticket to Manchester, so I got to my friend’s place by the evening! ☺️―Anonymous

Very quickly made my way from Wageningen to Leuven. I got a straight ride with a Belgian couple to Leuven as they were heading to Charleroi.―Anonymous

Good spot to either hitch to Tienen or to the jonction with the N25 (at the Carrefour) that will lead to the E40. You might have to walk a bit to find a good spot where a car can pull over as this area is a side road parking―Anonymous

Motorway services, last one before Brussels Urban area (Shell) is a good spot to either ask for a ride that goes directly into Brussels or maybe even further―Anonymous

You can hitch a ride East - West with a sign along the E40, you can also simply walk all the way down to the E40 and hitch from the On-Ramp.―Anonymous
