Fairly good spot but not so good for the car to stop. People had great smiles and were indicating that they were locals and not going to the gas station at Leuven…..a man took us later in the evening to the next big gas station on the E40 highway…….otherwise we (me, my girlfriend and our dog) could stand there hours and hours with so many good smiles and reactions from people!―NTKtriohitch

The road to enter is strange, a lot of cars exiting the E40, not using the station then re-entering the E40. It’s not worth trying to stop them, they’re going too fast. We waited at the entrance to the service station, the exit is better as you can catch the cars as they’re leaving―Breno

Walked here from Leuven, asked around, two of them were going to Brussels and the third one happened to be a couple living near London, so I got a ride from here through Eurotunnel all the way to north of London. And they ended up being worried that I will get stuck hitchhiking out of the London bubble, so they bought be a crazy expensive train ticket to Manchester, so I got to my friend’s place by the evening! ☺️―anettlee17

Good spot to either hitch to Tienen or to the jonction with the N25 (at the Carrefour) that will lead to the E40. You might have to walk a bit to find a good spot where a car can pull over as this area is a side road parking―Anonymous
