Usually a good spot if you want to go to Valenciennes (everyone seemed to be going there) and further down to Paris. I wanted to go to Lille though and it took me a full 3 hours to find someone. I did find a right directly to my destination though, they even did a detour for me, so that was super sweet. It was pretty late at that point (I waited from 7 to 10 pm so I imagine that it was getting late might have toggled a little pity)―Anonymous

Maybe my Liège sign was a bit optimistic because nearly everyone was going to Bruxelles. Eventually got a ride to Namur.―Anonymous

Was standing at onramp with a sign for Liège but visibility was not great, I ended up moving to the roundabout before the gas pumps, reverted to my BE sign and I got a ride past Mons in like 5 minutes.―Anonymous

We tried to signal with the thumb at the exit, then asked around, then returned back and signaled for longer. Alot of people are going only to town right next to it. It was really hot outside today so it was hard, but eventualy great guy took us beyond Mons.―Kromicz

Found a car in the direction of Mons, France pretty fast by asking around. A lovely person too that gave me control of the aux.―Anonymous

The first car I asked was a lovely Parisian family who took me to the suburbs of Paris from here.―Anonymous

More people going to the Netherlands than Liège but I still found a ride there in under 30 minutes. Even got approached back! Bonus points for the cute dog I got to have on my lap (not reflected in the rating.)―thebeekeeper

The door was not open, but you can follow the wall/fence until it ends, climb down a small hill towards the autoroute and then jump the (second, smaller) fence. Sounds more complicated than it ended up being, the fence is even a little bent down and there's trees to help. Lots of local cars but I still found people going through Lille to Mons within 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this spot to get out of Paris to the North.―thebeekeeper

To go to France, and south, try to get a lift to the next petrol station called "Saint-Ghislain".―Anonymous

Direction : France, ParisLast station before the border. Gas is cheaper in Belgium so people stop here to fill their tanks before entering France.
Good point if your driver goes not so far further and you have still a long way...
