barely any traffic towards vidin (tried it on a sunday and it was not long before sunset). as i mentioned earlier it is supposed to be way easier on fridays. ended up taking the train from montana railway station to vidin (about 3hrs and 3,50€).―tonipeperoni

if you’re going towards montana/vidin, this seems to be by far the best spot for hitchhiking in the area (got dropped off there by an experienced fellow hitchhiker) and eventually got a my first longer lift of the day. there’s also a restaurant and a shelter and forest surrounding and you could comfortably spend the night there.03/12/2023

waited over 60 mins, then got a ride of ~5km. i was going north and wouldn’t recommend this route (vidin) for going to timisoara. people told me on fridays there would be more traffic in that direction.―tonipeperoni
