Good place for slow traffic with some space for a car to pull over. Waited about an hour and 40, lots of people passing but only a few going on the highway, so it will be a wait. You could walk up to where this street joins the highway, but we didn’t think we’d have much better luck since traffic is sparse and cars are going pretty fast. This spot is also close to a gas station which can be handy. Got a ride from a lovely couple who ended up taking us all the way to PAB - great luck―Avaq

Lots of traffic headed west or east. We were going west to PAB, for ride to corner brook pretty quickly. Lots of space for cars to pull over, just choose a shoulder.―Avaq

Good spot to go eather North/East, a lot of people are leaving the city through this place.There is good visibility, room to pull over and cars go at a moderate speed.
You can reach the place easily by bus.
Got a ride in 5 minutes for Deer Lake.

It's good for north or south on the main highway. I see lots of other hitchhikers here. The mall, gas station, fast food and some hotels are near the highway here. Head toward which ever side of town you are going out of. You can walk from end to end along the highway here in 20min. You can make a stop if need be without straying from the highway too.―Anonymous

Good Spot. There is a mall, restaurants, gas stations and hotels on this part of Confederation Drive. Good for heading South/West. Get on the Highway itself too if you like to catch all traffic heading Southwest that is passing Corner Brook.―Anonymous
